| The Great Gatsby is such a boofy, lovable teddy bear, with a swagger and style all of his own. Pictured here at 22 months of age, he is turning out to be a herculean, and yet Lilliputian Frenchie of epic proportions. Technically correct, with massive bone and muscular development, he is developing into a mini-behemoth. Gatsby is a maskless fawn (ay/ay), with correct black pigmentation. He features a large square head, with a turned up underjaw, wide untapered muzzle, correct high nose-roll placement, rounded forehead, and ear ‘shape and set’ as demanded by the standard. All of these features are so often missing within the breed. With sweeping curves, highlighted top and bottom by a correct roach and tuck-up, Gatsby’s beautifully balanced form is both pleasing to the trained and untrained eye. Gatsby demonstrates fluid movement, with reach and drive, his hind legs tracking nicely inside his front steps. He continues to build on the health and conformation aspects of my bloodlines. Although Gatsby will not be offered at public stud, I look forward to seeing his progeny strengthening my lines for many years to come. |
